How does Distill create a summary?
Distill reads the video's transcript (captions) and uses AI to write a structured summary with sections, key points, and chapters. Short videos use a fast model; longer videos use a model with a larger context window.
Which videos work?
Public YouTube videos with captions enabled. Distill focuses on long-form content (roughly 4 minutes and up). YouTube Shorts and very short clips are not supported.
What's included in each plan?
Guest: 3 summaries/day, paste links only.
Free account: 10 summaries/day, videos up to 60 min, search & saved library.
Pro ($3.99/mo or $29.99/yr): unlimited summaries, videos up to 2 hours, channel follow feed, and quizzes.
Why do I see "Unauthorized" or a connection error?
Install the latest version from TestFlight or the App Store. If the problem persists, sign out and back in, or email us with your device model and iOS version.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Distill. Refunds are handled by Apple; contact help@distill.lol within 14 days and we'll assist.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Signed-in users can remove saved items from the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, email help@distill.lol from your registered address.
